NCAA West: Aztecs Down Bison To Advance; Badgers Overcome Double-Digit Halftime Deficit, End Ducks' Season

Two games were played in the West Region in the third round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament.

At Spokane, Washington:

Xavier Thames scored 30 points as the fourth-seeded San Diego State Aztecs (31-4) punched their ticket for their second-ever trip to the Sweet Sixteen after their 63-44 victory over the 12th-seeded North Dakota State Bison (26-7).

At Milwaukee:

Ben Brust hit a three-point shot with 67 seconds remaining as the second-seeded Wisconsin Badgers (28-7) came back from a 12-point halftime deficit to upend the seventh-seeded Oregon Ducks 85-77, offsetting Joseph Young's 29-point performance for the Ducks (24-10).  Frank Kaminsky scored 19 points to pace the Badgers.
