NCAA South: Stanford Knock Off Kansas; Bruins Overpower Lumberjacks

Eight games were played on Sunday as the third round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament came to a close.  Two of the games were contested in the South Region.

At St. Louis:

Dwight Powell scored 15 points as the tenth-seeded Stanford Cardinal (23-12) upended the second-seeded Kansas Jayhawks (25-10) 60-57, holding the Jayhawks' freshman star Andrew Wiggins to four points.

At San Diego:

Jordan Adams scored 19 points as the #4-seeded UCLA Bruins (28-8) ran past the #12-seeded Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (32-3) 77-60, despite 22 points and 11 rebounds from the 'Jacks' Thomas Walkup.

Match-ups for Thursday's regional semifinals at Memphis Tennessee:

#10 Stanford vs. #11 Dayton, 4:15 PM Pacific Time (CBS)

#1 Florida vs. #4 UCLA, 6:45 PM Pacific Time (CBS)

The two winners will face off this coming Saturday in Memphis for a berth in the Final Four.
