Sebastian Blanco (43'), Diego Valeri (65'), and Andy Polo (75') each scored once on Saturday as the Portland Timbers overpowered New York City 3-1 in the last quarterfinal-round contest of the MLS Is Back Tournament.
Jesus Medina converted a penalty kick in the 27th for the CityZens' lone goal.
The Timbers will take on the Philadelphia Union this coming Wednesday in a semifinal matchup at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (Fox Sports One/TUDN), with a berth in the August 11 final (against the Minnesota United-Orlando City winner).
