NBA Playoffs: Magic, Blazers Knock Off Conference Top Seeds; Heat, Rockets Also Take Series Openers

At Bay Lake, Florida:

The NBA Playoffs continued on Tuesday with four games, all  played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

Game #1:

Nikola Vucevic scored 35 points and grabbed 14 rebounds as the Orlando Magic upended the Milwaukee Bucks 122-110 in their conference-quarterfinal series opener.

Six Magic players scored in double figures.

Giannis Antetokounmpo paced the Bucks with 31 points while grabbing 17 boards.

Game #2:

Jimmy Butler scored 28 points while Goran Dragic added 24 as the Miami Heat defeated the Indiana Pacers 113-101 in their series opener.

Malcolm Brogdan (who dished out ten assists) and T.J. Warren each scored 22 points to pace the Pacers.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

Game #1:

James Harden scored 37 points (to go with his 11 rebounds) while Jeff Green added 22 and Eric Gordon 21 as the Houston Rockets defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder 123-108.

Danilo Gallinari scored 29 points while Chris Paul added 20 (to go with his 20 rebounds and nine assists) to top the Thunder.

Game #2:

Damian Lillard scored 34 points while C.J. McCallum added 21 as the Portland Trail Blazers upended the Los Angeles Lakers 100-93.

Anthony Davis scored 28 points (and grabbed 21 rebounds) and LeBron James added 23 (to go with his 17 rebounds and 16 assists) to pace the Lakers.
