NBA Playoffs: Raptors, Celtics, Nuggets, Clippers Post Series-Opening Wins

The NBA Playoffs' Round of 16 opened on Monday with four games, all played at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex as Bay Lake, Florida.

All series are best of seven.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

Game #1:

Fred VanVleet scored 30 points and dished out 11 assists as the Toronto Raptors opened their series with the Brooklyn Nets by overpowering them 134-110.

Serge Ibaka came off the bench to score 22 points as seven Raptors scored in double figures.

Timothe Luwawu-Caborrot came off the bench to pace the Nets with 26 points.

Game #2:

Jayson Tatum scored 32 points (while grabbing 13 rebounds) while Jaylen Brown added 29 as the Boston Celtics outlasted the Philadelphia 76ers 109-101 in their series opener.

Joel Embiid topped the 76ers with 26 points while grabbing 16 boards.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

Game #1:

Jamal Murray scored 36 points (and dished out nine assists) while Nikola Jokic added 29 (to go with ten rebounds) as the Denver Nuggets overcame Donovan Mitchell's 57-point, nine-rebound, seven-assist performance and knocked off the Utah Jazz 135-125 in a series-opening overtime thriller.

Game #2:

In a contentious series opener, Kawhi Leonard scored 29 points and grabbed 12 rebounds as the Los Angeles Clippers held off the Dallas Mavericks 118-110.

Paul George contributed 27 points to the Clippers' coffers.

Luka Doncic topped the Mavericks with 42 points.
