Stanley Cup Playoffs: Hawks Avoid Elimination; Islanders Put Caps' Backs To Wall; Stars Level Series With Flames At 2-2; Flyers Take 2-1 Series Lead; Blues Taste Game-Three Victory In OT Over Canucks

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Sunday with five games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Toronto):

Game #1:

Mathew Barzal's game winner at 4:28 of overtime carried the New York Islanders to a 2-1 game-three victory over the Washington Capitals.

The Islanders, who now lead three games to none, can finish off the Caps with a game-four victory on Tuesday (5:00 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).

Game #2:

Jakub Voracek scored the only goal of the match in the first period while Carter Hart stopped all 23 shots for his first playoff shutout as the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Montreal Canadiens 1-0 in game three of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Flyers now lead two games to one.



WESTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Edmonton):

Game #1:

Alexander Radulov followed Joe Pavelski's first career playoff hat trick with his game winner at 16:05 of overtime as the Dallas Stars leveled their series with the Calgary Flames at two games apiece after their 5-4 game-four victory.

Game #2:

Drake Caggiula, Matthew Highmore, and Alex DeBrincat (empty net) each scored once while Corey Crawford saved 48 of 49 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks staved off elimination by holding off the Vegas Golden Knights 3-1 in game four.

The Knights, who still lead three games to one, can still wrap up the series with a game-five victory on Tuesday (7:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).

Game #3:

Brayden Schenn scored the winning goal at 15:06 of overtime as the St. Louis Blues cut the Vancouver Canucks' series advantage to two games to one after their 3-2 game-three victory.
