Stanley Cup Playoffs: Jackets, Canes, Stars Level Respective Series At 1-1; Knights Top Hawks In OT To Take 2-0 Series Lead

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Thursday with four games contested in Canada.

EASTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Toronto):

Game #1:

Oliver Bjorkstrand's power-play second-period goal proved to be the game winner as the Columbus Blue Jackets leveled their conference quarterfinal series with the Tampa Bay Lightning at one game apiece following their 3-1 game-two victory.

Game #2:

Dougie Hamilton scored the winning goal in the third period as the Carolina Hurricanes squared their series with the Boston Bruins at one game apiece after their 3-2 game-two win.



WESTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Edmonton):

Game #1:

Reilly Smith scored the game winner at 7:13 of overtime as the Vegas Golden Knights extended their series lead over the Chicago Blackhawks to two games to none after their 4-3 game-two triumph.

Game #2:

Miro Heiskanen scored twice while Jamie Olesiak scored the game winner with 40 seconds remaining in regulation as the Dallas Stars outlasted the Calgary Flames 5-4 in game two to square their conference quarterfinal series at a game apiece.
