Stanley Cup Playoffs: Canes Complete Sweep Of Rangers; Leafs, Preds, Canucks Level Respective Series At 1-1; Flames Now Lead Jets 2-1; Islanders One Game Away From Ousting Panthers

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Tuesday in Canada with six games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE (All games played in Toronto):

QUALIFYING ROUND (All series best of five):

Game #1:

Jordan Eberle scored twice (once on the power play) as the New York Islanders doubled up the Florida Panthers 4-2 in game two.

The Islanders, who hold a two-games-to-none series lead, can finish off the Panthers with a game-three victory on Wednesday (9:00 AM Pacific Time, NBCSN).

Game #2:

Auston Matthews, John Tavares, and Morgan Rielly (empty net) each scored once while Frederik Andersen saved all 20 shots as the Toronto Maple Leafs squared their series with the Columbus Blue Jackets at one game apiece after their 3-0 game-two victory.

Game #3:

Sebastian Aho scored twice in the third period (one of this goals, a shorthanded empty-netter) as the Carolina Hurricanes completed a three-game sweep of the New York Rangers by dominating them 4-1 in game three.



WESTERN CONFERENCE (All games played in Edmonton):

Game #1:

Viktor Arvidsson scored the game-winning power-play goal at 13:49 of the third period as the Nashville Predators squared their series with the Arizona Coyotes at one game apiece after holding them off 4-3 in game two.

Game #2:

Six goal scorers each scored once (Elias Lindholm and Sean Monahan each scoring once on the power play) as the Calgary Flames belted the Winnipeg Jets 6-2 in game three.

The Flames, who now lead two games to one,  can close out their series by winning game four on Thursday (7:30 PM Pacific Time, CNBC)

Game #3:

Bo Horvath scored the game-winning goal in the power play in the third period as the Vancouver Canucks withstood a gallant comeback try by the Minnesota Wild and squared their series at one game apiece after winning game two 4-3.
