Stanley Cup Playoffs: Islanders, Habs, Canucks, Coyotes, Blackhawks Advance; Leafs Erase Three-Goal Deficit, Force Game Seven With Jackets

Six games were on the agenda for Friday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs continue in Canada.

EASTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Toronto):

QUALIFYING ROUND (All series best of five):

Game #1:

Anthony Beauvillier scored twice as the New York Islanders skinned the Florida Panthers 5-1 in game four, winning their series three games to one.

Game #2:

Arturi Lenkonen and Shea Weber (empty net) each scored a third-period goal as the Montreal Canadiens blanked the Pittsburgh Penguins 2-0 in game four to win their series three games to one.

Carey Price saved all 22 shots for the shutout.

Game #3:

Auston Matthews scored the winning power-play goal at 13:10 of overtime as the Toronto Maple Leafs, who trailed 3-0 with less than four minutes remaining in regulation, stunned the Columbus Blue Jackets 4-3 to square their series at two games apiece.

The series will be decided on Sunday at 8:00 PM Pacific Time (NBCSN)


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

QUALIFYING ROUND (All series best of five):

Game #1:

Brad Richardson scored the winning goal at 5:27 of overtime as the Arizona Coyotes knocked off the Nashville Predators 4-3 in game four and won the series (their first playoff series victory since 2012) three games to one.

Game #2:

Dominik Kubalik scored the game winner in the third period as the Chicago Blackhawks defeated the Edmonton Oilers 3-2 in game four and won their series three games to one.

Game #3:

Christopher Tanev scored the game winner eleven seconds into overtime as the Vancouver Canucks defeated the Minnesota Wild 5-4 in game four and knocked out the club from the Twin Cities three games to one.
