Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lightning, Bruins, Avalanche On Cusp Of Advancing; Blues Level Series With Canucks At 2-2

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Monday with four games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Toronto):

Game #1:

Barclay Goodrow and Yanni Gourde each scored in the second period while Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 28 of 29 shots as the Tampa Bay Lightning downed the Columbus Blue Jackets 2-1 in game four of their conference quarterfinal series.

The Lightning, who lead the series three games to one, can finish off the Jackets with a game-five win on Wednesday (9:00 AM Pacific Time, NBCSN).

Game #2:

Jake DeBrusk scored twice in the third period as the Boston Bruins battled back from two goals down to overcome the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3 in game three of their series, which they now lead three games to two.

The Bruins can advance to the Eastern Conference semifinals with game-five victory on Wednesday (1:00 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).


WESTERN CONFERENCE (All games played at Edmonton):

Game #1:

Nazem Kadri netted a pair of first-period power-play goals while goalie Philipp Grubauer had an easy time of it by saving 14 of 15 shots as the Colorado Avalanche buried the Arizona Coyotes 7-1 in game four of their series.

The Avalanche, now up three games to one, can close out the series with a game-five victory on Wednesday (2:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN, NHL Network)

Game #2:

Ryan O'Reilly scored twice (once on the power play) as the St. Louis Blues leveled their series with the Vancouver Canucks at two games apiece after their 3-1 game four victory.
