The Timbers will take on the Philadelphia Union this coming Wednesday in a semifinal matchup at 5:00 PM Pacific Time (Fox Sports One/TUDN), with a berth in the August 11 final (against the Minnesota United-Orlando City winner).

Timbers Knock Off CityZens In The Bronx
At New York:
Sebastian Blanco came through with his 14th-minute goal on Sunday as the Portland Timbers knocked off New York City 1-0 in a Major League Soccer match on the road, ending the hosts' club-record 12-match unbeaten streak.
Goalkeeper Steve Clark made five saves to preserve his third shutout of the season.
Next up for the Timbers, a US Open Cup road quarterfinal contest against the Los Angeles Football Club on Wednesday at 7:30 PM Pacific Time; Portland's next MLS match will be at home on Saturday at 8:00 PM Pacific Time against the Colorado Rapids which will be telecast on the Timbers' TV Network via KPDX-TV, Portland-Vancouver (both games will be streamed live on ESPN+).

The next Timbers contest is set for Saturday May 5 at 7:30 PM Pacific Time (telecast over the Timbers' broadcast network via Portland's KPTV) on the road against the San Jose Earthquakes.

In Saturday Major League Soccer action, Deigo Valeri's goal in the 44th minute lifted the Portland Timbers to a 1-0 road victory over New York City----and first place in the Western Conference standings.
DV8 became only the fourth player in MLS history to scored at least one goal in seven straight games. He also set a Timbers MLS-era single-season record with his 17th tally of 2017.
Jeff Attinella came up with three saves to preserve the shutout and the Portland victory while his NYC FC counterpart Sean Johnson put together a gallant performance with seven saves.
The Timbers' next contest is on the road against Real Salt Lake at 6:30 PM Pacific Time (Timbers Broadcast TV Network via KPDX-TV, Portland-Vancouver).

Timbers Fall At Home To NYC FC

In Sunday Major League Soccer action, David Villa (12') and Tommy McNamara (65') each scored a goal as New York City FC knocked off the Portland Timbers 2-1 on the road.
Fanendo Adi scored for the Timbers in the 55th minute but had to leave the game three minutes later due to a tweaked hamstring.
The Timbers will try to snap their current three-game losing skid with a home victory in next Sunday's Cascadia Cup clash against the Vancouver Whitecaps (1:30 PM Pacific Time, ESPN).

Goalkeeper Adam Kwarasey made five saves in picking up his third shutout of the campaign.
The Timbers' next game is next Sunday night at Seattle against the Sounders in a nationally-televised Cascadia Cup clash (6:30 PM Pacific Time, Fox Sports 1).
