Stanley Cup Playoffs: Habs Dominate Lightning On Road, Avoid Elimination

Two games were played in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Tampa, Florida:

Max Pacioretty had a shorthanded goal and two assists while Carey Price stopped 22 of 24 shots as the Montreal Canadiens avoided elimination with their 6-2 road domination of the Tampa Bay Lightning, who still lead the conference semifinal series three games to one.  The Lightning can still finish off the Habs with a game-five win on Montreal ice this Saturday.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At St. Paul, Minnesota:

Brent Seabrook, Andrew Shaw (power play), Patrick Kane, and Marion Hossa (shorthanded, empty net) each scored a goal while Corey Crawford saved 34 of 37 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks held off the Minnesota Wild 4-3 on the road and completed a four-game sweep of their conference semifinal series and will take on the Calgary-Anaheim winner in the Western Conference final with a berth in the Stanley Cup Final up for grabs.
