Despite a sprained ankle, Bradley Beal scored 28 points as the Washington Wizards became the first team in NBA history to win four consecutive series-openers on the road with their 104-98 conference-semifinal series-opening victory over the Atlanta Hawks. DeMarre Carroll paced the hosts with 24 points.
WESTERN CONFERENCE:
At Oakland, California:
Stephen Curry scored 22 points and dished out seven assists as the Golden State Warriors wore down the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 101-86 in the opening contest of their conference semifinal series. Marc Gasol scored 21 points and Zach Randolph added 20 while each grabbed nine rebounds for the Grizzlies.
