Five Pitchers----Anibal Sanchez (six innings of no-hit, six-walk, 12-strikeout ball who got the win), Al Albuquerque (one inning), Jose Varas (two batters in the eighth inning), Drew Smyly (one batter in the eight inning) and Joaquin Benoit, who got the save, combined for a one-hit (which came with one out in the ninth inning) shutout while Jhonny Peralta delivered an RBI single off Boston starter John Lester in the sixth inning for the only run of the game as the Detroit Tigers blanked the Red Sox 1-0 on the road in Saturday night's opening game of the American League Championship Series.
