AMOS ALONZO STAGG BOWL: WARHAWKS TOO MUCH FOR PURPLE RAIDERS, WIN FOURTH D3 CROWN IN FIVE YEARS

At Salem, Virginia:

Quarterback Matt Behrendt threw for four touchdowns (two apiece to Jake Kumerow and Tyler Huber) on Friday night while Jordan Ratliffe ran for a pair of scores as Wisconsin-Whitewater (15-0) blindsided Mount Union (15-1) 52-14 in the 41st Amos Alonzo Stagg bowl, enabling the Warhawks to win their fourth NCAA Division III national football championship in the last five years.  It was Wisconin-Whitewater's fourth straight win over the Purple Raiders.  The two schools have met eight times in the last nine years in the national title game.
