At Orlando, Florida:
Quarterback Teddy Bridgewater completed 35 of 45 passes for a career-high 447 yards and three touchdowns while running for another score on Saturday as the Louisville Cardinals (#18 in both the Bowl Championship Series standings and the Associated Press poll, #16 in the USA Today/Coaches rankings; 12-1) crushed the Miami Hurricanes (#25 in the Coaches poll; 9-4) 36-9 in the Russell Athletic Bowl. The Cardinals racked up 554 total yards of offense in contrast to the Hurricanes' 174. This was Louisville's gridiron swan song as a member of the American Athletic Conference before joining the Atlantic Coast Conference (in which Miami is a member of) next year.
