Tommy Rees, playing in his final game, threw for 319 yards (completing 27 of 47 passes) while Kyle Brindza kicked five field goals (21, 38, 26,25, and 49 yards) and T.J. Jones (eight yards) and Tarean Folston (three yards) each ran for a touchdown as Notre Dame (#25 in the Associated Press poll; 9-4) held off Rutgers (6-7) 29-16 in Saturday's Pinstripe Bowl played at Yankee Stadium.
