From 1936, here's a Hugh Harman-Rudy Ising cartoon (released by Metro-Golwyn-Mayer) entitled "The Old Mill Pond," part of MGM's Happy Harmonies series. This excellent musical (and Academy Award-nomiated) cartoon, directed by Hugh Harman featured such prominent entertainers such as Cab Calloway, Louis Armstrong, Ethel Waters, Fats Waller, Bill (Bojangles) Robinson, The Mills Brothers, and Stepin Fetchit depicted as frogs.
