Two games in the East Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament were played on Saturday.
At Lexington, Kentucky:
Vander Blue scored 29 points as the third-seeded Marquette Golden Eagles (25-8) outlasted the #6-seeded Butler Bulldogs (28-9) 74-72.
At San Jose, California:
C.J. Fair scored 18 points as fourth-seeded Syracuse (28-9) overcame a rough shooting night and defeated #12-seeded California (21-12) 66-60.
