NCAA West: Zags Shocked By Wichita State; Wildcats Too Much For Harvard

Two games were played in the West Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament with berth in the Sweet Sixteen at stake.

At Salt Lake City, Utah:

In the first of two East Regional third-round games played at the Energy Solutions Arena, Mark Lyons match his career high with 27 points as the sixth-seeded Arizona Wildcats (27-7) ran roughshod over the #14-seeded Harvard Crimson (20-10) 74-51.

In the nightcap, Cleanthony Early and Ron Baker each scored 16 points as the ninth-seeded Wichita State Shockers (28-8) converted 14 three-point shots and upended top-seeded and top-ranked (both in the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls) Gonzaga (32-3) 76-70 to advance to the Sweet Sixteen for the first time since 2006.
