Timbers Erase Two-Goal Deficit To Gain Season-Opening Draw At Home

At Portland, Oregon:

Jamison Olave, who scored in the 28th minute to give the New York Red Bulls a 3-1 lead, scored an own goal in the 83rd minute as the Portland Timbers came back from that two-goal deficit on Sunday to gain a 3-3 home draw with the Red Bulls in the Major League Soccer regular-season opener for both clubs. Diego Valeri (14') and Darlington Nagbe (56') each delivered a goal for the Timbers while the aforementioned Jamison Olave's fellow former Real Salt Lake player Fabian Espindola scored twice (9', 24') for New York.
