NCAA Midwest: Louisville (Who Ousts Ducks) and Duke For Trip To Atlanta

The semifinal round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament took place on Friday with two games played at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

In the opener, Russ Smith scored a career-high-tying 31 points as the top-seeded (both for the regional and overall for the tournament) Louisville Cardinals (32-5)  led from wire-to-wire as they downed the #12 Oregon Ducks (28-9) 77-69.  E.J. Singler led the Ducks with 15 points as Oregon had five players scoring in double figures.

In the nightcap, Seth Curry scored 29 points as the #2 Duke Blue Devils (30-5) held off the #3 Michigan State Spartans (27-9) 71-61.

Louisville will take on Duke in Sunday's Midwest Regional final with the winner heading for Atlanta and the Final Four (5:05 PM Pacific Time, CBS).
