Alejandro Valazquez and Edwin Barboa each scored once on Wednesday night as California-based La Maquina (who play in the fifth-level Unites States Adult Soccer Association) knocked off the Portland Timbers' Under-23 squad (which plays in the fourth-division Premier Developmental League) 2-0 on the road in the opening round proper of the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup tournament.
