Stanley Cup Playoffs: Sharks Devour Predators In Game Seven, Win Series, Get Blues Next

At San Jose, California:

In Thursday's finale of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Joe Pavelski (power play), Joel Ward, Logan Couture, Joe Thornton (power play) and Patrick Marleau each scored a goal while Martin Jones stopped all 20 shots as the San Jose Sharks throttled the visiting Nashville Predators 5-0 to win game seven of their conference semifinal series and ousted their guests four games to three.

The Predators are one of only three active franchises (Columbus and the current Winnipeg organization) that have never reached a conference final.

The Sharks will take on the St. Louis Blues in the Western Conference Finals, which will start on Sunday in St. Louis.
