Stanley Cup Playoffs: Blues Square Series With Stars; Sharks Take 2-0 Series Lead Over Preds

Both Western Conference semifinal series continued during the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Sunday.

At Dallas:

David Backes celebrated his 32nd birthday by scoring the game-winning power-play goal at 10:58 of overtime as the St. Louis Blues leveled their conference semifinal series with the Dallas Stars at one game apiece following their 4-3 game-two road victory.

At San Jose, California:

Logan Couture (power play), Joe Pavelski, and Joe Thornton (empty net) each scored a goal while Martin Jones saved 37 of 39 shots as the San Jose Sharks defeated the visiting Nashville Predators 3-2 and stretched their conference semifinal series advantage to two games to none.
