Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lighting, Blues Take 2-1 Series Leads; Predators Cut Sharks Series Advantage To 2-1.

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Tuesday with four games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Brooklyn, New York:

Brian Boyle scored the winning goal at 2:48 of overtime as the Tampa Bay Lightning defeated the New York Islanders 5-4 in game three of their conference semifinal series, which they now lead two games to one.



WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Nashville, Tennessee:

James Neal and Filip Forsberg each scored a power-play goal while Pekka Rinne saved 26 of 27 goals as the Nashville Predators cut the San Jose Sharks' conference-semifinal series lead to two games to one after their 4-1 game-three home victory.

At St. Louis:

Alexander Steen and David Backes each scored twice (once apiece on the power play) as the St. Louis Blues throttled the visiting Dallas Stars 6-1 in game three of their conference semifinal series, which the Blues now lead two games to one.
