Stanley Cup Playoffs: Lightning Up 2-0 On Red Wings; Panthers, Blackhawks Square Respective Series; Pedators Take Series Opener Over Ducks

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Friday with four games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Sunrise, Florida:

Reilly Smith, Nick Bjugstad, and Dmitry Kulikov (empty net) each scored a goal while Roberto Luongo stopped 41 of 42 saves as the Florida Panthers squared their conference quarterfinal series at one game apiece following their 3-1 home win in game two over the New York Islanders.

At Tampa, Florida:

Tyler Johnson scored twice in the third period as the Tampa Bay Lightning extended their opening-round series advantage over the Detroit Red Wings to two games to none with a 5-2 game-two home win.


WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At St. Louis:

Duncan Keith, Andrew Shaw (power play), and Artemi Panarin each scored once while Corey Crawford saved 29 of 31 shots as the Chicago Blackhawks evened their opening-round series with the St. Louis Blues at one game apiece following their 3-2 game-two road win.

At Anaheim, California:

Filip Forsberg scored the winning goal in the third period as the Nashville Predators took the opening game of their conference quarterfinal series with the Anaheim Ducks 3-2 on the road.
