FanendoMania Lives Again As Timbers Hold Off Quakes

At Portland, Oregon:

Fanendo Adi scored twice (65', 90'+9) and Jack McInerney once (52') on Saturday night as the Portland Timbers, despite finishing the contest with ten men, held off the visiting San Jose Earthquakes 3-1 in Major League Soccer action.

The win snapped the Timbers' five-match winless streak.

Chris Wondolowski successfully converted a penalty kick for the lone Quakes score in the opening minute of second-half stoppage time.

Portland's next game will be against the New England Revolution at Foxborough, Massachusetts on April 30 at 4:30 PM Pacific Time (Timbers' TV Network via KPTV, Portland).
