At Portland, Oregon:
Quarterback Nick Navila threw for five touchdowns, one of them to fullback Mykel Benson (who ran for three others) on Friday night as the Arizona Rattlers destroyed the home-standing---and newly-renamed and re-organized (or is it disorganized?) Portland Steel (ex-Thunder) 80-28 on the road in a nationally-televised mismatch seen in front of an announced crowd of 6,782, many of them having taken advantage of an online ticket giveaway.
The Rattlers scored two touchdowns on interception returns, another on an end-zone fumble recovery, and still another after recovering a Portland fumble on the Steel's one-yard line.
Maybe the Thunder should have been renamed the Melted Plastic instead as Arizona is now 8-0 lifetime against the current Portland AFL franchise.
