Mary Ann Mobley, the first Mississippian to be crowned Miss America (1959) and who went on to become an actress and successful television personality, passed away from breast cancer at her Beverly Hills, California home on Tuesday at age 77.
Miss Mobley was married to fellow actor and TV personality Gary Collins from 1967 until Mr. Collins' passing in 2012.
Mary Ann appeared in a number of motion pictures with fellow Mississippi native Elvis Presley such as "Girl Happy" and "Harum Scarum" (both 1965).
