Jimmy Howard saved 39 of 40 shots while Gustav Nyquist and Drew Miller each scored a second-period goal 31 seconds apart in the lone Monday Stanley Cup Playoff contest as the Detroit Red Wings defeated the visiting Chicago Blackhawks 3-1 in the third game of their Western Conference semifinal series. The Wings now lead the series two games to one.
