Stanley Cup Playoffs: Caps Top Rangers In OT, Take 2-0 Series Lead; Leafs Square Series With Bruins After Road Win; Ducks Clip Wings In Detroit; Kings Blank Blues To Climb Back Into Series

Four games were played in the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Saturday.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At Washington:

Mike Green scored a power-play goal at 8:00 of overtime while Braden Holtby stopped 24 shots to earn his first playoff shutout as the Washington Capitals defeated the visiting New York Rangers 1-0 in game two of their conference quarterfinal series, which the Capitals now lead two games to none.

At Boston:

Joffrey Lupul scored twice (once on a power play) as the Toronto Maple Leafs squared their opening-round series with the Boston Bruins at one game apiece with their 4-2 road win in game two.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Detroit:

A power-play goal apiece from Nick Bonino and Matt Beleskey, a shorthanded tally from Ryan Getlaf, and a shutout performance from Jonas Hiller (23 saves) carried the Anaheim Ducks to a dominating 4-0 game-three road win over the Detroit Red Wings.  The Ducks, who reclaimed home-ice advantage with the win, now lead their conference quarterfinal series two games to one.

At Los Angeles:

Slava Voynov scored the only goal of the contest in the second period while Jonathan Quick turned back all 30 shots as the Los Angeles Kings cut the St. Louis Blues' series advantage to two games to one following their 1-0 home victory in game three of their first-round series.
