NBA Playoffs: Pacers, Thunder Take Series Openers

The second round of the National Basketball Association playoffs began on Sunday with two games.

EASTERN CONFERENCE:

At New York:

David West scored 20 points while Paul George added 19 as the Indiana Pacers seized home-court advantage with a conference semifinal series-opening 102-95 win on the road over the New York Knicks.

WESTERN CONFERENCE:

At Oklahoma City:

Kevin Durant, who grabbed 15 rebounds, scored two of his 35 points with a jumper with 11.1 second remaining as the Oklahoma City Thunder overtook the visiting Memphis Grizzlies 93-91 in the opening game of their conference semifinal series.  Kevin Martin scored 25 points off the bench for the Thunder.
