Timbers Explode For Five Second-Half Goals In First-Ever Road Win Over Galaxy; Portland On Cusp Of Reaching Playoffs

At Carson, California:

A five-goal second half outburst----Fanendo Adi (65', PK-68'), Diego Chara (74'), Darlington Nagbe (85'), and Maximiliano Urruti (90')----carried the Portland Timbers to a 5-2 Sunday Major League Soccer road victory over the Los Angeles Galaxy, the first time the Timbers have ever beaten the reigning MLS Cup champions on their pitch.

The Timbers, who now have climbed to fourth place in the Western Conference standings, will host the Colorado Rapids in their regular-season finale next Sunday at 4:00 PM Pacific Time (ROOT Sports Northwest).  A draw would lock up a berth in the MLS Cup playoffs.
