MLB Playoffs: Rangers, Astros Take AL Divisional Playoff Series Openers On Road

Both American League divisional playoff series (best of three) opened on Thursday.

At Toronto:

In the first Major League Baseball playoff game to be played in Canada since 1993, Robinson Chirinos hit a two-run homer while Rougned Odor added a solo shot as the Texas Rangers ruined the Toronto Blue Jays' first post-season contest in 22 years 5-3 in the opening game of their divisional playoff series.

At Kansas City, Missouri:

Kendrys Morales hit a pair of home runs while Collin McHugh pitched six innings of four-hit baseball as the Houston Astros knocked off the Kansas City Royals 5-2 on the road in game one of their divisional playoff series.
