Both National League divisional playoff series resumed on Monday.
At Chicago:
Jorge Soler, Kris Bryant, Kyle Schwarber, Starlin Castro, Anthony Rizzo, and Dexter Fowler each hit a home run as the Chicago Cubs set a single-game post-season record with six round-trippers en route to a game-three 8-6 home victory over the St. Louis Cardinals for a two-games-to-one divisional playoff series lead.
The Cubs can close out the team that had Major League Baseball's best record this past regular season with a game-four home win at Wrigley Field on Tuesday.
At New York:
In the first-ever playoff game at Citi Field, Curtis Granderson registered five runs batted in thanks to a pair of doubles that bounced off the wall while Travis d'Arnaud and Yoenis Cespedes each homered as the New York Mets overpowered the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers 13-7 in game three of their divisional playoff series for a two-games-to-one series advantage.
The Mets can close out the Dodgers with a home win in game four on Tuesday night.
