At Portland, Oregon:
Jorge Gonzalez scored twice (18', 25') and Giovanni Calixtro once (PK-21') in a six-minute span in the opening half-hour on Wednesday as Portland Timbers 2 picked up their first USL Championship victory of the season, 3-0 over the visiting Tacoma Defiance.
T2 will host the Defiance again this coming Saturday at 7:00 PM Pacific Time (ESPN+).
