LIGHTNING BLANK STARS TO WIN SECOND STANLEY CUP TITLE; VICTOR HEDMAN WINS CONN SMYTHE TROPHY AS PLAYOFFS MVP

 At Rogers Place, Edmonton, Alberta:


Brayden Point (power play) and Blake Coleman each scored once on Monday while Andrei Vasilevksiy stopped all 22 shots for the shutout as the Tampa Bay Lightning blanked the Dallas Stars 2-0 in game six of the Stanley Cup Final and won the series four games to two as the Lightning won their second Cup title (the other was in 2004).

Tampa Bay defenseman Victor Hedman won the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Stanley Cup Playoffs' Most Valuable Player.
