Stanley Cup Playoffs: Stars And Knights To Face Off For West Title

At Edmonton, Alberta:

The Stanley Cup Playoffs continued on Friday as both Western Conference semifinal series are set to come to a close at Rogers Place.

Game #1:

Joel Kiviranta capped off a hat trick by scoring the winning goal at 7:24 of overtime as the Dallas Stars overcame three one-goal deficits and upended the Colorado Avalanche 5-4 in the seventh and deciding game of their series as they took the series four games to three.

Alexander Radulov added a pair of power-play goals to the Stars' coffers.

Game #2:

Shea Theodore, Alex Tuch (empty net), and Paul Stastny (empty net) each score a third-period goal as the Vegas Golden Knights blanked the Vancouver Canucks 4-0 in game seven of their series and took out the Playoffs' last remaining Canadian club four games to three.

No club from north of the border has won Lord Stanley's Cup since 1993, when the Montreal Canadiens last won it.

Robin Lehner saved all 14 shots for the shutout.
