NCAA Midwest: Ducks, Cardinals, Spartans Punch Tickets For Indianapolis

Three games were played in the third round of the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament on Saturday.

At Auburn Hills, Michigan:

Gary Harris scored a6 of his career-high 23 points in the first half as the #3-seeded Michigan State Spartans (27-8) cruised to a 70-48 win over #6-seeded Memphis (31-5) to advance to the Sweet Sixteen.

At Lexington, Kentucky:

Russ Smith scored 27 points as the top-seeded (both regional and overall) Louisville Cardinals (31-5) made short work of the eighth-seeded Colorado State Rams (26-9) 82-56.

At San Jose, California:

Damyean Dotson scored 23 points while E.J. Singler added 14 and Arsalan Kazemi grabbed 16 rebounds (to go with his eight points) as the #12-seeded Oregon Ducks (28-8) wound up dominating the #4-seeded Saint Louis Billikens 74-57 (28-7).  The Ducks will travel to Indianapolis for a regional semifinal showdown with top overall seed Louisville.
