Two games in the Midwest Regional of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament were contest at Philadelphia's Wells Fargo Center.
In the opener, Seth Curry scored 26 points while Mason Plumlee added 23 (to go with his nine rebounds) as the second-seeded Duke Blue Devils (28-5) defeated the fifteenth-seeded Albany Great Danes (24-11) 73-61. For Blue Devils' coach Mike Krzyzewski, it was his 80th NCAA Tourney victory.
In the second game, seventh-seeded Creighton (28-7), with a 27-point, 11-rebound performance from Doug McDermott, held off tenth-seeded Cincinnati (22-12) 67-63.
