Three games were played on Thursday as the Big Sky Conference Men's Basketball Tournament commenced at Missoula, Montana.
In the opening contest, Frank Otis scored 16 points as the second-seeded Weber State Wildcats (25-5) defeated the seventh-seeded Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (11-21).
Troy Huff scored 15 points as the #3-seeded North Dakota Fighting Sioux (16-15) defeated the sixth-seeded Southern Utah Thunderbirds (11-20) 69-52.
In the finale, a 21-point, seven-rebound performance from Tate Unruh carried the fifth-seeded Northern Colorado Bears (13-17) to a 69-56 victory over the fourth-seeded Montana State Bobcats (13-17).
In Friday's semifinal round, Weber State will take on North Dakota while top-seeded Montana (who received a first-round bye) will tangle with Northern Colorado.
