NFL Playoffs: Colts Overcome 28-Point Second-Half Deficit, Upend Chiefs; Saints Knock Off Eagles To Gain First Road Playoff Win, Get Seahawks In Seattle Next

The opening round of the National Football League playoffs commenced on Saturday with two games.

At Indianapolis:

In an American Football Conference opening-round game, Andrew Luck threw for four second-half touchdowns and another one on a fumble return as the Indianapolis Colts overcame a 38-10 third quarter deficit and upended the visiting Kansas City Chiefs 45-44.  T.Y. Hilton caught 13 passes for 224 yards and two touchdowns for the Colts.

At Philadelphia:

Drew Brees overcame a two-interception first half and threw a 24-yard touchdown pass to Lance Moore, while Mark Ingram (who ran 18 times for 97 yards) ran four yards for another score, and newly-signed Shayne Graham kicked four field goals---the game winner from 32 yards as time expired---as the New Orleans Saints won a road playoff game for the first time in the club's 47-year history, 26-24 over the Philadelphia Eagles in a National Football Conference opening-round contest.  The Saints will travel to Seattle for an NFC divisional playoff with the Seahawks next Saturday.
