Quarterback Connor Cook threw for 332 yards and two touchdowns----including a 25-yard TD pass to Tony Lippett early in the fourth quarter as the Michigan State Spartans (#4 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, and both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls; 13-1) came from behind to overtake the Stanford Cardinal (#5 in the BCS and AP rankings, #7 in the Coaches poll; 11-3) in Wednesday's 100th edition of the Rose Bowl as the final edition of the Bowl Championship Series (before next year's switch to a four-team playoff) got under.
