JAMEIS WINSTON THROWS WINNING TD PASS IN FINAL SECONDS AS SEMINOLES COMPLETE COMEBACK AGAINST AUBURN AS FSU ENDS SEC NATIONAL TITLE GRIP IN BCS FINALE

At Pasadena, California:

Quarterback Jameis Winston threw a two-yard touchdown pass to Kelvin Benjamin with 13 seconds remaining as the Florida State Seminoles, who were ranked #1 in the Bowl Championship Series standings as well as both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches polls (14-0), came back from an 18-point deficit and upended the second-ranked (in all three rankings) Auburn Tigers (12-2) 34-31 on Monday in the final BCS National Championship Game, as the Seminoles snapped a string of seven straight national titles won by Southeastern Conference schools.

The national title was the Seminoles' third.

After 16 years, the BCS is laid to rest as a new four-team playoff system takes effect next season.
