Stanley Cup Playoffs: Senators Beat Rangers In OT, Take 3-2 Series Lead; Caps Come From Behind To Avoid Elimination

Both Eastern Conference semifinal series continued on Saturday as the Stanley Cup Playoffs rolled on.

At Ottawa:

Kyle Turris scored the winning goal at 6:28 of overtime as the Ottawa Senators defeated the visiting New York Rangers 5-4 in game five of their series.

The Senators can close out the Rangers with a game-six win back in New York City on Tuesday.

At Washington:

Third-period goals from Nicklas Backstrom, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Alex Ovechkin enabled the Washington Capitals to come from behind to upend the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins 4-2 and cut the Penguins' series lead to three games to two.

The Penguins can still close out the series with a game-six home win back in Pittsburgh on Monday.
