Cristian Roldan scored the only goal of the match in the fourth minute as the Seattle Sounders, despite being outshot 19-8, defeated the visiting Portland Timbers 1-0 in Saturday Major League Soccer action that was also a Cascadia Cup clash.
The Timbers, whose winless streak has now stretched to five games, will host the San Jose Earthquakes next Friday at 8:00 PM Pacific Time (UniMas).
