In the lone Tuesday Stanley Cup Playoff contest, Mike Hoffman, Mark Stone, Erik Karlsson, and Jean-Gabriel Pageau (empty netter) each scored once while Craig Anderson saved 37 of 39 shots as the Ottawa Senators defeated the New York Rangers 4-2 in game four of their Eastern Conference semifinal series and took out the hosts four games to two to advance to their first conference finals since 2007.
The Senators will next take on the winner of the Pittsburgh-Washington series (deadlocked at three games apiece, set to be decided in Washington on Wednesday night; 4:30 PM Pacific Time, NBCSN).
