Stanley Cup Playoffs: Ducks Erase Three-Goal Deficit, Upend Oilers In 2 OT To Take 3-2 Series Lead; Blues Hold Off Predators, Avoid Elimination

Both Western Conference semifinal series in the Stanley Cup Playoffs resumed on Friday.

At St. Louis:

Dmitrij Jaskin and Jaden Schwartz each scored a goal while Jake Allen saved 21 of 22 shots as the St. Louis Blues held off the visiting Nashville Predators 2-1 in game five of their series.

The Predators, who still lead the series three games to two, can close out the Blues with a game-six home win in Nashville on Sunday.

At Anaheim, California:

Corey Perry scored the winning goal at 6:57 of the second overtime as the Anaheim Ducks, who trailed 3-0 until late in regulation, fought back to upend the visiting Edmonton Oilers 4-3 in game five of their series, which the Ducks now lead three games to two.

Anaheim can wrap up the series on Sunday with a game-six win in Edmonton.
