NBA Playoffs: Cavs Overcome Early Deficit, Upend Celtics To Take 3-1 East Finals Series Lead

At Cleveland:

Kyrie Irving scored 42 points while LeBron James added 34 and Kevin Love 17 (to go with his 17 rebounds) on Tuesday night as the Cleveland Cavaliers overcame a double-digit first-half deficit and upended the visiting Boston Celtics 112-99 in game five of the Eastern Conference Finals.

Avery Bradley paced the Celtics with 19 points.

The Cavaliers, who lead the series three games to one, can close out the Celtics with a game-five victory on Thursday night in Boston and make an unprecedented third straight NBA title series between themselves and the Golden State Warriors (set to open on June 1 in Oakland) a reality.
